Home to some of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world, Italy’s wines are loved both at home and abroad. Approximately one-fifth of the world’s wine comes directly from Italy’s vineyards and Italy, closely followed by Spain and France, is the world’s largest wine producer by volume. In this masterclass you will be taken on a viticultural tour through Italy, tasting Italian wines specific to these regions.

World of Pinot Noir Masterclass
Presented by the Casama Group
2.30pm – 3.30pm
The Pinot grape is one of the world’s favourite grapes, producing wines with an intensity that oozes summer flavours of ripe cherries, wild strawberries and crushed berries. Add to that a velvety smoothness and an underlying complexity and you have a silky wine that’s hard to beat. Its heartland may be in Burgundy but superb examples can also be found from around the world.

In this masterclass, Sally McGill, Director of Sales and Marketing – International at the Casama Group, will lead you through a tasting of both domestic and international Pinot Noir wines.

You will learn about the Mollydooker Shake, which is the unique process that the winemakers use to prepare their wines for drinking; Mollydooker Fruit Weight, which is how they measure quality in their wines; and finally, the Mollydooker Flavour Curve, which is how they achieve the amazing depth of colour and flavour in their wines.
