Join Professor Ted Snell over dinner as he explores four art scandals you may never have heard about, but which might change your views about art, artists and the society in which we live.

Why are scandals in the arts so newsworthy? Whether it’s a fake or a theft, an offensive nude or a piece of incomprehensible sculpture, everyone gets involved, everyone has an opinion and the risk-takers, ratbags and rogues behind the latest scandal become instant celebrities.

Professor Ted Snell AM CitWA is the Chief Cultural Officer of UWA’s Cultural Precinct. Over the past two decades he has contributed to the national arts agenda through roles including Chair of the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council, Chair of Artbank, Chair of the Asialink Visual Arts Advisory Committee, Chair of University Art Museums Australia and as a board member of the National Association for the Visual Arts. He is currently on the board of the UQ Art Museum and the ARC Advisory Council. He has been a commentator on the arts for ABC radio and television, is currently Perth art reviewer for The Australian, and is a regular contributor to local and national journals.
